“Dragon-Gate”: Letter Sent to the League

An open letter, for all access, not confidential

Once again, we have an open letter that is absolutely not confidential. The unauthorized rescheduling of league games, the teams and individuals who lied about it, the failure to provide oversight of requests to reschedule games, and the attempt to cover up those lies and failures, all requires investigation to understand exactly what happened. In the meantime, the league standings are invalid, and the credibility of the league is at stake.

Subject: Unauthorized Rescheduling of League Games

Softball Leinster Committee,

Information has come forward which indicates there have been games in 2025 in Division 2 which have been rescheduled by team captains without proper oversight from the committee. This information includes:
– The admission, in writing, of false information being provided to the league in order to facilitate the rescheduling of a league game.
– The admission, in writing, of failing to provide oversight in processing requests for rescheduling league games.
– The admission, in writing, of attempting to cover up the aforementioned failure of oversight.

I want to know what steps the league committee are taking to address these admissions, and how and when this will be officially presented to the membership.

As these details impact my team, along with every other team in the division, as well as teams in other divisions, I feel it is important to understand exactly what happened and to understand exactly how the league will be addressing the admissions which have been brought to light.

Regards,
John Edwards
